Buonamico Restaurant Welcomes Media to Taste Authentic Tuscan Cuisine

Massimo Barsotti comes from a little harbour village of Viareggio in Tuscany and established the family restaurant that has been the main source of income for many generations.

Lena Larsson met Massimo over 30 years ago, when she became his 'little helper'. Later on, she mastered the traditional recipes known in Viareggio and all over Tuscany.

Massimo's son Leonardo now runs the restaurant business directly from Trattoria Buonamico located in Viareggio and comes to Marbella to ensure that things run smoothly.

In June, Buonamico Marbella was opened to continue serving authentic Tuscan dishes for people to know that Italian food is not only pizza and pasta. At a special event, the restaurant served the media its unique dishes. Buonamico Marbella is now located in the heart of Marbella in an old fishing port and boasts a lovely view at the sea.

The dishes included:

- Cream of Chikpeas with Prawns Flambe;

- Deep Fried Pizza dough with Tuscan Pate and Ham;

- Stuffed Mussels in Tomato Sauce;

- Crispy Egg with Porchini Muchrooms and Foie Mousse and Truffle Oil;

- Tuna in a Panko Crust, Buffalo Mozzarella Cream, Confit Tomatoes and Black Olives Sand;

- Tuscan Vegetable Soup;

- Seafood Carbonara (Mussels, Shrimps, Cuttlefish, Parsley, Black Pepper);

- Soft Yoghurt, Mango, and Crumble;

- Hot Peach Pie with Ice-Cream

Buonamico Marbella may look like a new restaurant, but do not forget the legacy worth of 115 years and three generations.
