Food Review by Xusan Teo Vol.18: El Rincon de La Sala
23-01-2013The latest addition to the La Sala group, El Rincon de La Sala offers the alternative dining experience situated on the main street in San Pedro town, attracting the tourists as well as the local residents, offering a little twist of Spanish tradition and flavor. It serves exquisite selection of international cuisine to suit all clients. This charming and buzzing place creates yet a relaxed atmosphere providing quality food for the dinners.
On a fine Tuesday evening, Annika and I arrived at the rather packed El Rincon de La Sala, the bar was busy while the dining area was fully booked and filled with a mix of local and foreigners creating a nice international ambient.
We were welcomed by the friendly general manager Miguel Mena Castilla and started our evening with a nice glass of champagne. The menu was extensive offering from contemporary Andalucían dishes to fine international cuisine, by executive Chef Manolo De La Chica.
Annika started with a dish of Asparagus and poached Egg and the delicious Crayfish served with Garlic and Chili. I must say, the Crayfish dish was out of this world!
Since Annika was longing for some pasta, she had the very tasty Seafood Spaghetti while I enjoyed the rack of Lamb as my main dish; it was nicely cooked medium rare as I like it.
As for dessert, we shared a plate of Chocolate Brownie with devilish Chocolate sauce and Crepe Suzette with Vanilla Ice Cream.
El Rincon de La Sala offers not just quality food but also live music from Thursday to Saturday. Free complimentary valet service is also available, so parking problem solved!
