Villa Tiberio Restaurant - Marbella heaven comes in 6,000 square metres of formal Italian gardens with marble statues, cascading waterfalls and softly lit lovers' walkways, then without any doubt, this is it. Surrounded by trees, lush palms and semi-tropical vegetation, the grounds at the internationally known restaurant are a blaze of colour, with magenta bougainvillea creeping over pergolas, red roses clustered on bushes and lilac blossom in full bloom on centuries' old trees. Unusual cacti nestle in flowerbeds alongside petunia and geraniums. Large, ripe lemons hang from trees near the entrance. Endless varieties of large and small palms sway softly in the breeze. Shrubs teased into organic shapes round the pool are juxtaposed between classical statuary and Moroccan lanterns. 

On one side of the pool, water tinkles out of an enormous clay jar into azure water. On the other, a Great Exhibition vase casts a shadow across a temple d'amour.

Opened in 1989, Villa Tiberio's location, just a whisker away from The Marbella Club Hotel, is ideal. Surrounded by tall trees, the villa set in sumptuous grounds could never be overlooked or dominated by high-rise buildings.
