Aqualifting or LiftingLiquid

Surgeries, especially facelifts, are intended to be less invasive every day and reduce patients postoperative time and pain. In this line, has emerged Aqualifting or 'Lifting Liquid', a facelift that tightens the skin, infiltrates autologous fat where needed and performs a deep peel of TCA at 40%, using jets of water pressure (Bodyjet) to ensure less bleeding, separate more easily the skin from the fat and a shorter and sweeter recovery. It is popularly known as "water surgery".

This new procedure promises to be less invasive than the traditional one and with great results after a faster and less painful recovery. Dr. Richard Fakin an expert who joined Ocean Clinic in December last year talked about this facelift protocol that includes fat transfer and water irrigation to improve the intervention and recovery.

Why have people christened it "water surgery."?
Because we use the Body-Jet system in a facial intervention. The Body-Jet injects and distributes a fluid that is subsequently collected, and injected under pressure to separate the skin from the subcutaneous tissues and, therefore, many fewer incisions are required.

Body-jet it's a surgical procedure that stands out for using water-assisted techniques. 

After the facelift is performed, a micro-transfer of fat is performed to restore the volume lost due to age. This can be obtained through liposuction of the neck,  the chin, or any other part of the body and is processed in order to obtain a purer fluid, which increases the chances of success when being transplanted. If done the right way, about 70% of the volume of fat used will remain on the face indefinitely.

Finally, a deep facial peel is performed in order to improve the quality of the skin and eliminate the remaining wrinkles that cannot be corrected with a simple facelift, such as those around the lips. In addition, this type of peel also eliminates unwanted pigmentation such as age spots. There are several products to perform these peels, your choice depends on the quality of the skin, the damage caused by the sun and the number of existing wrinkles. Since most of these require anesthesia, combining them with other interventions is the best way to avoid unnecessary ailments.

Who benefits most from this treatment, what type of skin and with what problems?
Any patient interested in a face and/or neck lift. If you have many folds and wrinkles in difficult places such as around the mouth, forehead or temples. All of this can be corrected with a simultaneous peel. If they have a loss of volume, a generalized problem associated with age is restored by transferring the fat itself. You can also prepare a special fat fluid, called nano fat, which is injected intra-dermatologically, to improve the quality of the skin.

Is it a good alternative for those who prefer to opt for less invasive techniques?
The body jet system is a much softer and safer way to prepare the tissues for any intervention. The infiltrated liquid contains substances that minimize pain and bleeding, with the goal of achieving a quick recovery and fewer complications. Combining treatments saves anesthesia, time and money.
