Dr. Oz's Lecture
I would like to try to help you understand what makes sense to you. In our modern world, there is so much information around us that it is difficult to point out what is really important.
How should we do it? We need to be able to change. Why is it that people don't change?
- Time;
- Money;
- Knowledge (or lack of it);
- Fear of change – fear to fail
How to change?
• Emotional response changes minds more effective than dry facts;
• Take it easy and do right thing;
• Love what you do;
• Live a good life
5 Biggest Life Adjustments
We control 70% of how well and long we live. Make sure to pay special attention to the aspects outlined below:
- Blood pressure (115/75);
- 30 minutes of daily exercise;
- Healthy diet;
- Stress and sleep control;
- No addictions
Why is it that people living far away in the countryside tend to live longer? Because they move a lot. Make sure that you exercise at least 30 minutes a day. On a side note, muscles burn 12 times more calories than fat, which means that you need to do muscle training.
Sleep is No. 1 problem in the world as people just don't get enough sleep. Everyone needs to realise that there is nothing more important than sleep, sex, healthy food, and water.
Speaking of healthy food, for a burst of youthful energy, eat a daily handful of nuts and seeds. Enticing choices include almonds, walnuts, sesame seeds, pine nuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, peanuts, and pistachios. Nuts and seeds are filled with arginine, an amino acid that helps fight heart disease, impotence, infertility and high blood pressure.
Arginine also stimulates the pituitary gland at the base of the brain to produce growth hormones, a substance that begins to decline after age 35; more growth hormones means better muscle tone, improved skin elasticity, increased cognitive function, and other anti-aging benefits. This crunchy snack will satisfy your hunger and keep you from reaching for salty, fatty chips.
Last but not least, food supplements. You need no food supplements if your diet is perfect (which is the case of about 1% of all people on the planet).
Our body does not produce minerals, that is why one should consume at least a minimum daily amount of minerals with food supplements.
