Marbella officials threaten to revoke licences in new party tourism crackdown, Marbella, August 2017
11-08-2017Comments (3)
Marbella's tourism chiefs are cracking down on ‘savage’ Brit tourists.
The local tourism authorities are considering to revoke licences to bars and clubs due to the behaviour of the drunk tourists. They are blaming, specifically, the British tourists.
Tourism professor Josep-Francesc Valls, from ESADE Business School, condemned those who walk around without a shirt or in a bathing suit and cause damage to the streets during drunken brawls.
He also said: "Anti-social, poorly educated tourists who do not respect the basic rules of a peaceful and balanced co-existence have to take direct responsibility for their actions".
Many blame the increasingly low priced flights and holidays to Marbella and nearby Puerto Banus.
But, in reality, who is to blame and what is the best solution for these problems? Is revoking licences the best solution? Are the British tourists the only ones to blame?
This fight outside a club is the main reason for the problems with the tourists.
Here in i-Marbella, we want to hear your opinion: what are the solutions? what are the real problems? Should the government blame it on the bars and clubs?

English are just animals, why Puerto Banus bar should be responsible for their behaviour??? They should have fines and need education.
I would not let them leave the country in Malaga airport without paying fine or they go to jail.

Why are Puerto Banus bars responsible for UK tourist inappropriate behaviour? This start from their culture and nation manners.

Not only in Marbella , in Mallorca , Ibiza . They should pay a big penalty fee and send them back to Uk. When they come to Ireland they do the same . F....T.....
