New breast screening technology comes to Spain

Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging ´DITI´ now available in Estepona.
Bodyworks Health Clinic is currently the only clinic in Spain that has this revolutionary technology available.
Breastcancer is the most common cancer and leading cause of death in women aged 34 – 54, worldwide more than 1000,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer every year.
Digital Imaging gives the opportunity to detect breast cancer earlier than has been previously possible in traditional breast cancer detection methods. It works by identifying physiologic changes that accompany breast pathology, be it cancer, fibrocystic disease or infection. The cells of your body produce heat through their normal function, abnormalities change this heat pattern and in terms of cancer, diseased cells, usually produce much more heat in their earliest stages of development (before a cancerous tumour forms). DITI is able to detect these subtle changes.
There are no contra-indications for Thermal Imaging making it safe for pregnant women and those with implants and the procedure is non invasive, does not use radiation, is painless, F.D.A approved and involves a quick and easy test that takes a mere 15 minutes to perform. Thermograms (breast images) are kept on record in order to be able to monitor any changes during routine annual check ups.
