2005 US Golf Open Winner, Michael Campbell, Will Manage The Villa Padierna Hotel and Resorts Golf Academy

- Michael Campbell’s Villa Padierna Golf Academy will start its activities in March 2014 and offers a comprehensive educational programme that includes the latest technologies on offer within the sport.
The 2005 US Open winner, Michael Campbell, will manage The Villa Padierna Hotels and Resorts Golf Academy. A mutual agreement between the President of the Villa Padierna Hotels & Resorts, Ricardo Arranz and the prestigious New Zealand golfer was recently reached.
Michael Campbell’s Villa Padierna Golf Academy will offer comprehensive and personalized golfing programmes that cover such topics as techniques, physical training and nutrition as well as psychology in order that members of the academy, which is open to all ages and levels, can reach competition levels.
The academy will have the latest and most advanced technologies at hand, such as the Trackman System, which being an interactive tool, will analyse and monitor the personal characteristics of each player’s playing habits so as to determine the correct and suitable choice of golf stick to use at Tee off.
Michael stated that "he was rather excited in being part of his first Golf Academy" project. The New Zealander was the first winner of the International HSBC World Match Play Tournament which had a prize pool of 1.000.000 pounds for the winner. He mentioned that "This game has given me everything and it is a privilege to give something back to the sport in a manner that will help others to learn and enjoy this great sport".
The President of Villa Padierna Hotels & Resorts, Ricardo Arranz, stressed that "the commitment with Michael Campbell would be a sure fire bet" and the synergy fits perfectly with the excellent high level of service provided by Villa Padierna Palace Hotel and its choice of three golf courses; Flamingos, Alferini & Tramores all within a complex that has been ranked as the best golf resort in the world by the World Travel Awards.
To carry out his project, Michael Campbell has assembled a top notch support team to convey and transmit the values and mission statement of this project. Such support includes PGA Professionals such as Steven Palmer & Daniel Williams that have 30 years experience to offer between them as Pro Golf coaches.
