Eva Longoria and Maria Bravo joined national and international celebrities united by solidarity to celebrate he eighth consecutive year Marbella VIII Global Gift Gala at the luxury resort Gran Meliá Don Pepe 13 July 2019.

Marbella turned again into the center of world solidarity this time, for the eighth consecutive year. The  VIII Global Gift Gala in which the president of the foundation, María Bravo acted as host, joined for another year by the honorary ambassador Eva Longoria Bastón who accompanied her throughout the program to support and give visibility to the common causes of both foundations.

The traditional gala, part of the VIII Global Gift Philanthropic Weekend, raised funds for the Eva Longoria Foundation and the Global Gift Foundation.

"One more year, I love arriving in Marbella and feeling at home. Maria runs the city of Marbella all over the world, she was born here, and the idea of this platform to help people started in Maria's heart. We have a big family at Global Gift and we are very happy to be here together with Alina today. This idea of connecting foundations and people between Maria, Alina and myself started almost 10 years ago, so today is a very special day for us to open the Global Gift House to help the children and their families.

The gala was presented by actresses Alicia Lobo and Jana Pérez and included performances by Dj Adassiya, Rosa López, Adrián López, La Mari and Brenda Edwards.

Five women were awarded the Global Gift Awards: Alexa Connolly, Global Gift Women Empowerment Award, and La Mari, Global Gift Humanitarian Award. Olga Sharipo and Sarah Almagro received the Global Gift Our Heroes Award for their courage and struggle. For her part, Patricia Santamaria was surprised with the We Believe People Award.

The big surprise of the evening went to Patricia Santamaria, who received the We Believe in People award from Gary Dourdan for her commitment. "I thank you very much, it is an honor to be with you always. I'm the one who has to give a prize because this is what really makes you great in life and satisfies you," Patricia said as she picked up the prize.

Gran Meliá Don Pepe's executive chef, Víctor Carracedo set the gastronomic seal with a menu designed in conjunction with the renowned and award-winning star chefs: Paco Morales, Juan Lu, and Juan José Carmona.

Among the extensive list of international personalities from the world of culture, society and philanthropy, Global Gifters and social cause activists who wanted to share this event with María Bravo and Eva Longoria Bastón, stand out: American actor and singer Gary Dourdan, presenter Carlos Sobera and his wife Patricia Santamarina; Princess Beatriz de Orleans; model Giovanni Bonamy; Once Upon a Time actress Lana Parrilla; reporter and actress Elvia Llauder or designers Victorio&Lucchino; and other international celebrities.
