The floating catwalk caused great excitement among the attendees of Marbella Luxury Weekend 2014 in Puerto Banus, Marbella.

The first big day of MLW can be characterised in the only way possible, by the magnitude, glamour and sophistication of its events. Thousands of people have gathered in Puerto Banús on Thursday 5th of June, to attend the first day of this amazing event, the main attraction being the great floating catwalk which is sponsored by the Club del Mar Plaza Beach.

Some of the new features of MLW this year included an innovative floating walkway which was opened by Swarovski and Wolford, on the night of Thursday June 5. A total of 20 models paraded down the runway on the sea, wearing the perfect looks for this summer and showing a preview of the new autumn-winter 2014 Wolford collection, combined perfectly with SWAROVSKI jewellery.

Wolford presented a collection combining elegance and femininity which was perfectly complemented by Swarovski accessories, the selected jewellery highlighting the freshness of the designs. The catwalk outfits were designed as the ideal ́looks ́ for women to wear at all times of day, with pieces ranging from an ethnic look to a seventies style, to minimalist inspiration and art-deco.

The Swarovski collection clearly demonstrates their inspiration for this season: tribal- glam. A collection inspired by the works of art and traditional crafts of African cultures, modernized and updated in search of a more contemporary and casual style. The key colours used are: golds mixed with transparent glass, warm yellows, browns and natural earth tones.
