18-01-2013Comments (4)
Karen Felice Guarnieri, the wife of Mario Guarnieri, leads the Danzart dance productions throughout Marbella and the Costa del Sol. Her students learn a repertoire of various dance styles from Latino to funk as well as cheerleading. A qualified dance and fitness instructor for the past 20 years, Karen is the first qualified cheerleading instructor in Spain. But today we will have a look at Karen's wardrobe and learn more about her style choices.
1. How do you define your style?
I define my style as comfortable, basic and sharp.
2. What is your ideal look for daytime? And night time?
As I spend most of my day at rehearsals and dance classes,I usually wear good fitting , comfortable training gear. Nighttime: I usually like to dress in basic colours with very straight lines and usually go for dresses and/or trousers with jackets.
3. How much time do you spend on creating your looks?
I am a mother of four children, I run my own Performance and Dance group, I help out in my husband,s bussiness and social events,so it leaves me little time to plan my looks. I can spend as little as 10 mins to compose my look, (it depends on my mood and frame of mind on the day.
4. Where do you get ideas for your looks? From magazines, movies, videos etc?
Usually I have an idea of how I want to feel: smart, confindent, sexy etc. Then I just take it from there.
5. What is your favourite piece of clothing in your closet?
My favourite piece of clothing in my closet are my black leggings, which I can team up with absolutely anything and a couple of cocktail dresses which I can vary with different accessories.
6. Your favourite shops are..
My favourite shops are Felipe España, Just Cavalli and designs made by my friend the fashion designer Esteban Freiria.
7. What is your favourite color?
My favourite colour is bronze.
8. What are your favourite accessories?
My favourite accessories are large gem stone rings.
9. What advice would you give to have a great style?
My advice to great style is - Find a style that suits your colouring and body shape AND stick to it! The second one is: Dress according to your age and bodyshape! It's very sad to see 40+ women trying to dress up like fifteen year olds! It's very aging!!
10. Who is your favourite style icon?
My favourite style icon is NO ONE! Every women is unique and should analize herself to find out what suits her and looks good, likewise one should know what does not flatter one's body shape and avoid it.
