The event makes a great opportunity to show the capital of Costa del Sol as a travel destination as well as a trend-setter.
The Málaga Fashion Week Larios Catwalk comes to life in September, attracting leading brands too. The event has become a new tourist and cultural attraction in a town that is bound to become a hub for the fashion industry. Fashion shows come along side activities like the award to the oldest store in the Old Town or the Alfiler de Oro (Golden Pin) awarded as a tribute to the remarkable career of a renowned fashion designer.

The event offers visitors and locals the chance to enjoy, in an unrivalled setting, thehaute couture collections by big names like Montesco, Gemma Melé, or Sonia Peña and get to know the creations from couturiers like Jesús Segado or Javier Alcántara.
Málaga Fashion Week was born with the aim to promote local talent and give a boost to fashion travel in the capital of Costa del Sol. Additionally, the event has an international character, and for this reason, fashion designers other than those based in Málaga are given the chance of bringing their collections to this exciting adventure taking place on the Costa el Sol. Amongst them is Madrid-born Agatha Ruiz de la Prada.
Creative Talent
The cultural nature of the Málaga Fashion Week Larios Catwalk, jointly with its potential as tourist attraction, have earned the event support from public and private institutions. Thanks to this support, it has enjoyed growing success until it landed on the map of events featuring the latest trends. The couturiers’ creative talent and the contributions by stylists, make-up designers and photographers have done the rest.
The shows at Málaga Fashion Week unfold on a privileged stage in a city that has found its place on the art and fashion map long ago. Part of one of the major shopping districts in our country, during this week, Larios Street morphs into a unique open-air catwalk.
Haute couture is the star in an event whose prestige keeps growing every year. Proof of this is the increasing number of visitors coming to watch from the front row the very latest creative work by Málaga-based designers, who thus help boost Málaga as a top travel destination.
