Ana Lucia Alonso (33) works as the marketing & events manager at Nikki Beach. She comes from Argentina and has lived in Spain for 10 years. I-Marbella found out more about her life on the coast. 

What brought you to the area?

I came here for holidays.

Do you have a favourite area or part of the coast? 

Yes, I like all the Cadiz beaches.

What attracts you most about the southern Spanish lifestyle besides the climate? 

I like the quality of life and also that you can meet people from all around the world!

Where were you educated? 

I went to school in Buenos Aires Argentina and I have an Advertising & PR Degree, Corporate Communication Master at the Universidad de Ciencias Empresariales y Sociales (UCES).

If you had to choose an another profession, what would it be?

I would love to be a florist.

What would you say is the best and the worst aspect of your job? Why? 

The best aspect is that I can socialize and meeting new people, I love that! And the worst is the stress that sometimes I am under. Summer season is short and intense!

In what way is Nikki Beach different from other beach clubs on the coast? 

Its simple, just one thing - we were the first! The beach club concept was created by Nikki Beach all around the world!

What is the most exclusive party that has taken place at Nikki Beach?

Of course the one and only White Opening Party!

Name a few celebrities who have visited Nikki Beach? 

To name a few - Naomi Campbell, Bono, Rod Stewart, Joaquin Cortez, Riberie (the football player), Carmelo Anthony (NBA), Spanish football players, etc and lots of other celebrities!

What is the biggest amount that has been spent at the club on one night? 

The biggest bill was 38.000 euros! And who was it? I cant give out names-house policy!

Describe a few ways how you spend your time here? 

I work, go shopping and spend time with my family, that is the most important part of my life.

Do you have any free time for hobbies? 

Not that much. Gym my favourite and necessary hobby, because my health is really important to me.

How do you stay fit? 

Gym and long walks on the beach. Also the food I eat is very healthy, no wheat or fats, etc. Also no alcohol and no tobacco!

Do you go for a holiday to any other destinations now that you have relocated to a luxury resort? If so, where and why? 

I go for a holiday to the Caribbean, Brazil or Argentina to see my family. 

Name a few of your favourite restaurants or cafes here? 

I like Don Quijote, Sushi des Artistes, Wasabi, MC Café, Kudos, Asmallworld Café and Beckitts!

What kind of an events are coming this summer at Nikki Beach? 

A lot of them! We have  a complete calendar this season, White and Red Party, Diamond Party, Full Moon, San Juan Party, Buenavista Social Club Party, Hawaiian and Morrocoan Party!

What is good to do in springtime in Marbella? 

Just to relax or go to the gym and enjoy the beautiful South of Spain!

What is the most memorable moments that you have had in Marbella? 

I have had lots of nice moments, when I started to work for Nikki 5 years ago and when I met my husband. We had some crazy summers and a lot of good memories!
