Wish List Mums Conquer La Mairena

Friends were joined today by twelve children from Ciudad de los Niños along with three carers to conquer La Mairena Mountain.
Unlike the previous attempt of the same walk, the weather was fantastic, and so we were all ready and very excited to set off together. Although the walk was long, tough and tiring we kept each other going and enjoyed spending time with the children we are helping. Finally after an hour and a half walking up hill, we were invited by the generous owners of Kudu Bar in La Mairena to a delicious BBQ and much needed cold drinks, which they had kindly donated, and which of course we all enjoyed and appreciated! Later many offered to drive the children down to the beach where we spent the rest of the afternoon in the sun and sea. They were very grateful, as were we, to have spent the day such a lovely and productive day together, it was lovely to see them having so much fun.
