Four Mega-Barges of International Fortunes including Roberto Cavalli meet @Puerto Banús Marbella August 2019
29-08-2019The impressive barges the multimilionaire folks such as the designer Roberto Cavalli, the magnate Ricardo Salinas, Baroness Thyssen's sailboat and the Saudi royal family's yacht will share the dock this weekend Saturday and Sunday August 31st, 2019 in Puerto Banus, Marbella, Costal del Sol, Spain in a event that promise to get the attention of many people.
What barge is more impressive and ostentatious ? We are not sure! This will be an occasion to see a special nautical showcase that is going to take your breathe away.
The designer Roberto Cavalli arrived last Monday at the port of Marbella from Mallorca aboard his last whim, 'Freedom'. A 28-metre-long piscodelico yacht, conceived with pure luxury and capable of sailing at full speed up to 40 knots.

The designer Tommaso Spadolini is responsible for this floating work of art, with a helmet made of lightweight materials such as carbon fibre and aluminium, while Cavalli himself put his seal on the interior, as can be seen from the ground by the leather prints of African animals for upholstery or cushions, recurring 'prints' in some of his fashion collections. SUR has been able to capture the Italian designer enjoying on one of the decks of the boat, on whose parquet floor is engraved the brand image of the fashion emporium.

On the second place of the port, we have the yacht with the 'Azteca', owned by Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas, owner of one of the most important communication groups in the country. This megayacht with heliport and five decks anchors majestically in the marina with its 72 meters in length since the end of the week.
This is not the first time that Salinas has stopped in Marbella waters with this boat, which until nine years ago carried the Spanish flag and the name 'Clarena II' on its hull. This was the wish of the businessman Rafael Hernando 'El Pocero', who had it built shortly before being ruined to boast in the ports of the island of Palma of his good luck in the construction business.
The ship, renamed by Salinas as 'Azteca' has a main suite of 50 square meters and four double rooms with bathrooms, a terrace of 100 meters and several living rooms, among other amenities. Of course, it has a jacuzzi, a platform for bathing and even a garage for small boats. The barge sails the seas with a permanent crew of 20 people and a modern navigation system and anchorage with stabilizers for a smooth crossing in rough sea.

On the third place of these impressive yachts joining the list the 'Shaf London', owned by the Saudi royal family. The boat, 53 metres long and 13 cabins, is usually in Puerto Banus.
Last but not less a sailboat, used and enjoyed by Carmen Cervera, has also been moored in the marina for days. It is the 'Mata Mua'. It is no coincidence that Baroness Thyssen's boat bears the same name as Paul Gauguin's painting, as it is her favourite painting.
Tita Cervera's well-known passion for art and, in particular, for this work by the French artist, is reflected not only in the hull of the boat, but also in the interior, where the sofas in the lounge are decorated with cushions lined with images from this painting. The aristocrat coincided in Marbella with her son, Borja Thyssen, and her daughter-in-law, Blanca Cuesta, who have also anchored their boat in Puerto Banús these days.
A perfect occasion to see a special nautical showcase of luxury yachts!
