On Thursday 1 August the multiple Grammy Award-winning Singer, Songwriter and Social Activist, who has sold more than 53 million albums and singles worldwide performed a selection of his iconic tracks for one night only in Spain.
Multi-platinum selling artist Michael Bolton sold out his only Spanish tour date and thrilled fans in Marbella with a diverse 90-minute show on his European tour that included dates in Italy and Monaco. After 35 years in the industry, Bolton proved star quality never fades. Having already sold over 53 million records the Grammy-Award-winning artist might have been forgiven for relying on the host of number one songs from his past but also included a moving operatic tribute to his close friend Luciano Pavarotti as well as powerful duets with Kelly Levesque. The classics were all there and the capacity crowd at the Puente Romano Hotel demanded encores.
Bolton was supported by La Sala favourite, Paul Maxwell – The Piano Man, who hosted the official after party at Aqwa Mist following the concert. Paul performs every Monday evening from 10pm at La Sala restaurant in Puerto Banus. The performance was promoted by famed restaurant and leisure group, Sala Group. Chairman Ian Radford announced, “A superb performance from a consummate professional. I was delighted to see a full stadium and an appreciative crowd. While we see this kind of support locally we will continue to try to bring the best artists to the area.” Over the past 12 months Sala Group have welcomed Tinie Tempah and Tyga to their successful nightclub, Aqwa Mist.
Another Grammy Award winning artist will be heading to Aqwa Mist this week. American superstar Ne-Yo will be taking to the stage on Wednesday 7 August to perform a selection of his iconic hits and tracks from his new album R.E.D. Aqwa Mist will also welcome British group, Rudimental to Marbella this month. The chart topping quartet will be entertaining guests on Wednesday 21 August with their hits including, ‘Feel The Love,’ ‘Not Giving In’ and ‘Waiting All Night’ Tickets will be available from La Sala and Aqwa Mist. 20€ (in advance) 30€ (on the door.)
