A great dinner and awards ceremony of prizes for the 'III Contest of Gastronomic Tourism of Kitchen and Pastry' was held in Hotel Puente Romano and Organized by Marbella Cocina April 25, 2018
Different local cooks, pastry chefs and catering students of the Malaga province have participated on April 24 at the Hotel Puente Romano in the third edition of the contest that the association 'Marbella Cocina' III Contest of Gastronomic Tourism of Kitchen and Pastry to promote the local products of Malaga and to value the talent of professionals in the province.
The great ceremony was organized by the association 'Marbella Cocina' which is this new edition of the 'Contest of Gastronomic Tourism of Kitchen and Pastry' was directed to professionals of the catering, catering schools students of the province and confectioners.
|The many assistants of the contest have enjoyed a great dinner and exquisite dishes
The event took place on April 24 at the Hotel Puente Romano and had the collaboration of the City Council and the sponsorship of the Provincial Council and the Commonwealth of Municipalities of the Western Costa del Sol.
This year the competition was maintained with three differentiated categories: hotel and restaurant chefs, pastry chefs and students of catering schools.The aspirings to the prizes of all the province had to present previously to the organization their proposals of salty or sweet dishes elaborated with products from Malaga.
And from these recipes presented, a total of eighteen have been chosen: six for each category to compete in the final contest.
The prizes were organized by three awards per category and the contest judges were made up of well-known catering members of the Costa del Sol. In addition, it was involved also the presence of prestigious food critics such as Diario SUR, RNE, El Mundo, El Comercio de Asturias and El Heraldo de Aragón.
Among the innovations that have been adjusted during this year's contest: the winner of the modality of ‘Joven Promesa’ (Young Promise) have gotten a one-year contract at the Puente Romano hotel
The awards ceremony took place during the gala dinner held at the same hotel at 9:00 p.m. All gallery of the winners can be seen below.
A bit about the Marbella Cooking Contest
Marbella Cooking contest has been conducting this contest for three years. In this third presentation was held at the amazing Hotel Puente Romano.
With the initiative of encouraging young chefs and with cooking experiences, this contest aims to promote and make known the traditional cuisine and native products of Malaga and surroundings.

The winner will have a job at Puente Romano to encourage young people to continue working hard for their goals.
