i-Marbella is organising a sporty and super fun day with called i-Marbella Dance Marathon on Tuesday, 30 September in the legendary Puente Romano Tennis Club.
This is a great opportunity to get back on your healthy sporty lifestyle again after the summer season and why not do it together? i-Marbella presents a Dance Marathon that will feature Zumba and Bowka dance workouts - dance to great music, with great people and burn a ton of calories without thinking about it. And it is made for everyone - for beginners and for advanced people and also for men and for women!
What is Zumba?
Zumba is a dance fitness program created by Colombian dancer and choreographer Alberto "Beto" Perez during the 1990s. Zumba involves dance and aerobic elements. Zumba's choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue, mambo and martial arts.Squats and lunges are also included.Zumba Fitness, an organization that sells Zumba videos and products, does not charge licensing fees to gyms or fitness centers.Approximately 14 million people take weekly Zumba classes in over 140,000 locations across more than 185 countries.
What is Bowka?
Bokwa is an innovative exercise class inspired by South African dance. It is an easy to follow, yet effective total body workout, which uses letters to help people identify the moves.
Nuffield Health were the first to recognise the potential of this innovative class and we rolled it out in our Fitness & Wellbeing Centres in May 2012 to great success.
