Malaga airport reopens after ash cloud disturbance

MALAGA airport has reopened after a four-hour closure caused by the volcanic ash.
The Spanish Airports Authority (AENA) decided to shut Malaga and Granada airports down at 1730 yesterday evening. However, Granada and Jerez airports remain closed on the mainland.
Sevilla airport was able to reopen yesterday but La Palma and Fuenteventura on the Canaries remain shut. On Tuesday, some 1,138 flights out of 5,174 were cancelled in Spain because of the volcanic ash from Iceland.
