Ming & Mong need your help!26-05-2017
Ming & Mong adopted us about 6 months ago during the terrible storms & heavy rain we had here in Marbella. We found them at our back door, scared, shivering and completely soaked through. We brought them in & fed them and evidently, they hadn’t eaten for some time as they just ate and ate. But it’s now 6 months later and we need to find them a new loving home, as we are moving.
We have taken them to a vet to try to locate their owners, but although they both have chips there is no owner or address registered on their chips. It was very clear from the beginning that these are domestic cats, as they always do their toilet duties outside and never scratch on furniture indoors…. not even once!
It seems they are mother and daughter. Ming is the mother who is maybe three years old and Mong the daughter, perhaps eighteen months old. They love each other, look after each other and play with each other. Well, in truth Mong plays with Ming, whilst Ming tolerates her childishness. This usually involves Mong hiding behind curtains or under beds and waiting until Ming walks past… she then pounces on her mum and legs it. They never scratch or bite, not even once.
Ming (the mum)
Ming is happy to sleep all day in one of the two little igloos we bought for them, only getting up for food. But about 5 pm she loves to go outside until about 10 pm. She doesn’t hunt, she just chases leaves and explores. Ming doesn’t have a very effective Meow, it’s more like a "Baaaa", from a sheep and often she just moves her mouth with no sound coming out (poor thing).
Mong (the daughter)
When we first took Mong in, for about two months she was terrified of stepping outdoors, only going outdoors for the toilet and then running back inside. We think she was maybe scared she might be locked outdoors once again. Since then she does venture out, but not much and never far. She now loves to sit at windows and watch the world go by, perfectly happy indoors. At times though her tail can annoy her, so she sometimes stands on it or holds it, as in the photo (bless)!
They are both very loving cats, and will often follow us around the house just to be close to us. They give us immense love and pleasure, but as we are downsizing from a villa to a 3rd-floor apartment... we don’t feel this would be suitable for them.
We are based in Marbella and will be partly sad, but also partly happy, to give these two wonderful cats away to a suitable home and owner. I’ve had cats many years ago and always felt my previous cats were the friendliest of cats. But in fact, these two are even friendlier.
If you can give some love and a long-term home to our sweet cats, please email me at the below email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
In your reply, kindly let me know the situation that the cats would be leaving for, such as…
1. How many humans in your home?
2. What other pets live in your home?
3. How many children in your home, ages?
4. Which location is your home?
5. House, apartment or townhouse?
6. Would the cats be home alone much?
7. Can you deliver regular tummy rubs?
If you have read this far, bravo, you really do love cats!
