We Cowork business centre and startup hub opens it's door at San Pedro June 2019

On Friday 28th June 2019, the Deputy Mayor of San Pedro Javier García; the Deputy Mayor for Nueva Andalucia and Councillor for Commerce, Economic Development, Employment and SMEs for the Marbella Town Hall, Cristóbal Garre; and the Councillor for Social Rights for San Pedro, Begoña Rueda, officially opened the business hub and coworking centre We Cowork, alongside representatives of the company.
The centre was opened in the presence of many local businesses and business organizations, who also enjoyed a networking event and cocktail reception.
This way, the opening event also welcomed representatives of local business associations such as the President of the Small and Medium Sized Business Association of San Pedro Alcántara (Apymespa), Ana García and the Treasurer of the Small and Medium Sized Business Association of Marbella (Apymen), Juan José Frías.
On the other hand, the Deputy Mayor of San Pedro Javier García commented that the opening of this coworking centre was excellent news for the area, as it will attract companies and entrepreneurs. “All this talent will create wealth and generate employment, which will be beneficial for all the citizens of San Pedro Alcántara”.
Cristóbal Garre, Councillor for Commerce, Economic Development, Employment and SMEs for the Marbella Town Hall added that “Marbella is a town which encourages entrepreneurs and San Pedro also has a lot of talented business people, so we’re very happy to see this type of business opening in the area.”
He also commented that they were very pleased that San Pedro had been chosen for this new project, as it would allow companies and startups to establish themselves in the area. He ended by wishing We Cowork a lot of luck with the project and hoping that the expansion of the centre would start very soon.
Along with representatives from the local authority, the Owner and Founder of We Cowork Antoine Montadon, Office Manager Aneta Domagala Clarke, and Business Development Advisor and Blockchain Specialist for We Cowork, Carlos Fernández was also present.
Carlos Fernández explained that We Cowork’s mission is to, “provide companies, freelancers and entrepreneurs with collaborative workspaces at affordable prices, so they can focus all their time and energy on their business. We take care of any other associated services they need to develop their business, promote collaborations between the members and offer further support such as networking, events, training, and local contacts to give them the maximum chance of success. In addition, we can support companies looking to set up their businesses in Spain by offering advice and practical assistance.”
With the opening of centres such as these, San Pedro Alcántara is becoming a strategic and relevant area for entrepreneurship on the Costa del Sol.
We Cowork has invested 70,000€ in the initial phase of development and predicts another 70,000€ of investment will be required for their expansion plans to create more offices and an organic café on the site. They are creating employment thanks to the construction of the office space and café and hope to create four full-time positions in the centre by the end of the year.
This business hub and coworking centre is 250m2 and currently has 15 fixed desks, 26 hot desks, private offices and event spaces, with high-speed internet. We Cowork plans to host different kinds of events such as networking, conferences, training sessions, presentations and seminars for both members and non-members, to help train and support entrepreneurs in the San Pedro area. As international business never stops, it is open seven days a week and 24 hours a day for members.
We Cowork has been set up to foster entrepreneurship and offer the ideal conditions for businesses to succeed. Coworking has been proved to improve productivity and motivation, offer a cost-effective, flexible workspace to remove the pressure of fixed overheads and provide a strong and supportive network for businesses.
Besides, they are building a global network of ambitious entrepreneurs and creating collaborations with blue-chip companies and investors to help their members achieve their goals.
