It was so nice to be in Marbella for a month this time, beautiful blue skies and amazing sunrises from my balcony. The beautiful sunsets at my favorite places –With Cappuccino Grand Cafe, being at the top of the list, the sunset there never fails to wow me.

This time I seriously didn't want to leave.

Catching up with friends and making some new ones, including the infamous Kristina Szekely. Kristina Szekely is a legend in Marbella and local celebrity. Kristina's name is synonymous in luxury real estate stretching from Puerto Banus, along the coast to Sotogrande, Gibraltar, Madrid and internationally, due to her affiliation with Sotheby's.

I really have to say May, June and September are my favourite months in Marbella.

I guess it's not just about the weather it's also an exciting time as all the beach clubs and beach restaurants are having their opening parties, which creates a special buzz in town. Nikki Beach, Ocean Club are always amazing opening parties and never fail to impress.

I have been there and seen it so many times over the years, although this year I didn't even go to half of them.

-Ok call me boring- I must be losing my party spirit the older I am getting.

Lol, just kidding not sure that will ever happen, I will probably be dancing around in a club in Marbella with a simmer frame when I'm 80 years old. Hahaha

I wrote about a special lady in my first book SINGLE IN MARBS, who does just that. I wonder what happened to her as I have not seen her around.

Karina Miller Blog 16: an afternoon with friends 2019

She would dance around La Sala draped in pearls and jewels and she would be wearing a wig and sunglasses. No one dare go near her as she hated being touched.

One could say that she was crazy but, was she? Or was she just making the best of every moment? Maybe we all have something to learn from that.

I am guessing that she was in her 80's the last time I saw her, perhaps she is not with us anymore.

Anyway, I am pretty sure that I will be me enjoying life like that until my last breath. So, Let's get back on track here, hahaha!

As I was saying, all the opening parties are happening and one I did attend was the opening of Trocadero Petit Playa.

The Spanish were out in force and I think I was the only English woman there.

I was so surprised at how many people knew who I was. It seems like I am pretty well known in the Spanish community.

It was especially great to see Annika Urm, I think we were the only two blondes there at the party, oh apart from the famous Spanish singer Ana Abad Roman.

It was fun, but it is at these times I wish I could speak Spanish which I don't, I am ashamed to say. One day I might actually get my act together and learn it. Lol

It was also great to spend time with my bestie Aliona Gyumeyuk during those weeks. We don't get the same time together as we used to, so it makes it all the more special when we do.

There is never a dull moment when we are together always laughing and of course drinking wine. Hahaha. One of our favorite things to do when we are in Marbella is a late afternoon session of people watching on the Port, it never fails to entertain us.

There is nothing like it, watching the world go by with a bottle of good wine at Sinatra Puerto Banus.

This particular afternoon we were doing the usual and bumped into some of the “characters of Marbella” who appeared right in front of us. I won't mention any names of course!!

Well, he told us that after dealing in the property he was now running a whorehouse down the coast and he was earning 50.000 euros a week!! Hahaha

I am not sure what kind of girls he had on his books to demand that kind of money, hahaha, they must be superhuman and have golden, diamond-studded vaginas. Lol

The stories in Marbella always crack me up. 

We laughed as usual and took it all with a pinch of salt, or rock of salt in this case.

Marbella is such paradoxical paradise but I love it and wouldn't have it any other way.

I love you Marbella :) I will be back!!
