Karina Miller Blog 11: Visiting the icon Burj Al Arab, Dubai's infamous 7-star hotel.

I am still in Dubai on the first leg of my trip, (Dubai, Singapore, Dubai) 2018 Source: Karina Miller
The more I see of Dubai, the more I am falling in love with it. What an amazing place. While I am here this time I visit the icon of Dubai. The Burj Al Arab, Dubai's infamous 7-star hotel.
Hi everyone,
It is hot, hot, hot! It seriously takes a professional, hardcore sunbather to deal with this heat. Two minutes in the sun and ten in the water is the only way I can deal with it. My friend however obviously has a gold medal or two at this. I watch in awe of the sheer diehard ability to take the heat.
I look down at my body and realize that my summer in the U.K. has taken its toll on my tan. A couple of days of endurance should do the trick. Having lived abroad pretty much all my life my tan is always there and just needs a couple of days to bring it back to its former state of glory. Haha
The Burj Al Arab, Dubai's infamous 7-star hotel.
As I drive up to toward the entrance I am already seriously impressed. This is grandeur on another level altogether.

The valet parking takes our white Hummer and puts it on display at the front of the hotel with their fleet of white Phantom Rolls Royce's.
As I walk into the hotel and I am welcomed by the beautiful harmonious sound of a violin playing alongside the rush of the stunning waterfall display situated between the two elevators. The waterfall provides a unique kaleidoscope effect as fog and water flow downward through its stone-filled steps. The water somehow arches elegantly in a choreographed movement. It is just out of this world.
I have entered heaven, a place that is magical and bewildering in its ornate ostentatiousness. My jaw drops as I get to the top of the escalator and enter the lobby. I look up, wow! I am in a palace or some kind of futuristic spaceship?
Is there enough gold in this place? Apparently, there are 1.790 square meters of 24-carat gold leaf embellishing the entrance.

I glide through the lobby pretty much speechless as I soak up all this supreme luxury. We take the elevator to the 27th floor to have a drink in the Skyview Bar. I have been in a few sky bars all over the world in my travels and this one is yet another fantastic view on another level. The average person might need to take a mortgage out for the price of one drink in here.
Really they can charge whatever they want as the kind of person who is drinking in here has no worries about the cost I can assure you. I am sure this place has seen the richest people in the world, celebrities, presidents, kings, and queens. I am sure the Kardashians have made an appearance to at some point. Haha
I perch myself on the stool as the obligatory picture has to be taken, taking at least twenty to get the right pose of course.
As I sip my rather good glass of wine I can taste every dirham, as it glides down way too easily. I notice that they have given us a little baby cake stand with delightful little nibbles. This must be to compensate for the astronomic price of the drinks. All rather lovely I must say, just too posh for words.
After our drinks, we decide to take a golf buggy from the entrance to the neighboring hotel to take a walk on the beach.

Looking at the Burj Al Arab from the beach was a mesmerizing vision as it changes color. At that moment it was the most glorious red.
My bare feet are in paradise, they are having a rather nice foot orgasm as I am exquisitely elevated caressing the warm sand between my toes. I am fluffy and content after having a couple of glasses of wine and to say I'm feeling happy at this moment would be an understatement.
Dubai certainly has given me a different experience this time, every time it wow's me and I know I still have so much to see.
The next day we go to the Gary Rhodes cinema experience, this was another wow for me as it was as I had expected, totally O.T.T.

This was a cinema experience like no other, a massive luxury home cinema, complete with silk blankets which were rather handy as it was seriously freezing in there.
The movie was awful, we definitely messed up on that one but the five-star food was amazing and definitely an experience that I have never had in a cinema before. What will they come up with next?
After the movie, we wander along the Mall of the Emirates, which is one of the largest shopping malls in the world. We walk right to the end to take a look at Dubai's indoor ski slope. A massive 22.500 square meters of Dubai skiing experience. If it gets too hot in Dubai then this is the perfect place to go to cool down, immediately being transported into another world,
I have yet to try it but it looks amazing and I'm sure I will get to that on another trip.
All in all, Dubai has given me yet another amazing experience.
I'm addicted and will be back for more.
