In July 2019, with family and friends, we went to Italy to discover the sea by sailing yacht name Acustica. Sorrento, Capri, Procida, Positano, Naples what a wonderful Italian discovery trip by the sea!

The amazing style of Procida & Capri

Our first destination after landing in Naples was Procida, Italy. Here you can read my “Annika Urm” first Blog about Italy sailing trip.  

The next destination was the beloved and famous Capri Island in Italy! What a beautiful life! From the sea, you see a different kind of Italy.

There you can see gorgeous coastline silhouette at day and night. Full moon nights, sunsets and sunrises. We happened to be in Capri exactly at Full moon! We enjoyed it on land and sea!

Last night at Procida Island we had rain and thunderstorm, we had ruff swinging night on the boat! Your life on the boat depends on the sea, wind and weather conditions! Many people dream that boat trip is luxury, happy and relaxed! But in reality, it is quite a work and all the time making compromises with sea and weather! 

We were sailing from Procida to Capri.

We sailed along Marina Grande, and we approached Capri Marina Piccolo.

The best way Discover Capri, Italy from the sea! Capri trip is not complete without sailing around the island by sea, skirting the dramatically craggy coastline and taking in the shimmering caves and hidden coves. We didn't visit Famous Blue Grotto but we have beautiful pictures from Faraglioni di Capri- Coastal and oceanic rock with the whole inside on main rock!

Capri's most iconic sight is the dramatic Faraglioni, three towering rock formations that jut out from the Mediterranean.

Arrival at Capri

We arrived at Capri Marina Piccolo and went to discover Capri town! We went to land by small boat, public landing place is in the corner of the Marina Piccolo Bay!

You can go to town by bus, by taxi or by walking up 400 stairs. We took a taxi up to the bus station and went by walking to view the platform and famed main square Piazzetta.

Either for a morning espresso or an appetizer cocktail in the evening, a visit to the Piazzetta is a must. From Piazzetta, we walked down in the main pedestrian street. Capri is a top Luxury place all high-end brands are represented by Chanel, Dolce & Gabanna, Capri watch, Versace, Gucci, Pucci, Missoni are just a few names.

We had a lovely family Italian dinner, and after the storm night, we decided to spend the first night in Capri in a hotel.

It was almost a full moon and views from the land were just amazing.

Amalfi, Italy

The next morning we were fresh and ready to continue to explore Capri. We had coffee at Hotel terrasse view over Marina Piccolo.

You are all the time on fresh air and need to adapt constant swinging and shaking at sea. Not everyone can take it! It is challenging to cooking and cleaning on the boat, but at the same time, it is just amazing experiences. The Mediterranean Sea water is warm in July and August, and it is just fantastic to swim or paddling with SUP at Procida or Capri Marina Piccolo.

Sailing boat Acustica type is Jeanneau 54DS 54 feet long /16.3 m. Very comfortable with four ensuite cabins with all amenities center salon, kitchen, captain table, and deck saloon. You have your toilet and shower room, sure it is all in one but still very comfortable.

Next night we stayed at the boat, and in the morning we went up again for early brunch on the top seafood and wine restaurant just next to the main square Piazzetta

After lunch, we started sailing towards Amalfi and Sorrento on the Italian mainland, some of the most iconic cities in Italy.

We sailed to Amalfi 3-4 hours and then we visited this small beautiful town and harbor. We visited their iconic church and monastery, made pictures on the stairs of the church and had ice cream in the main street followed by a nice Italian coffee in the main plaza.

Then we went back to the boat and we started to sail towards the "celebrities hotspot" beautiful Positano.

On the boat, we made seafood pasta, and tomato and mozzarella salad, amazing Italian food so fresh and tasty. I adored every minute and lived like a dream. I had to tweak myself to remind myself that it was real

Veiko, Rainer and I had dinner at Positano seaside restaurant! There, on one side we had the sea with all these boats and yachts and on the other, the Positano iconic houses.

The food was amazing and we were very happy to be in Positano.

We slept on the boat, waking up with Positano sunrise calm sea and be happy it is not just a dream, It was real we are in Positano!

We went to the Positano we visited local small fresh fish and seafood "market" and food shop for making amazing lunch again on the boat! 

We visited several souvenir shops! I bought my mom a Positano style lemon apron and to myself just simple Positano supermarket shopping bag lemons fabric design.

We walked around in this iconic idyllic city and then went to the boat and have there fabulous relaxing family time.

 We start sailing back to Napoli stopping at Sorrento harbor to take gasoline. This time we just didn't have enough time to visit Sorrento.

This dream holiday with the whole family (my ex-husband, Tanel Urm, is a captain at Procida, Capri, and Positano) this is one of my WOW holidays at the all-time.
