RockinMarbella Summer Concert 2010 brings the X Factor to you! 4 fabulous artists will perform on the 20th of August at the Puerto Banus Bullring.

The latest concert to be announced for Marbella this year is the RockinMarbella concert to be held at the Puerto Banus bull ring on 20th August 2010. The event's headline act will be Alexandra Burke, winner of the 2009 X Factor along with Jamie Archer, aka Jamie AFRO, contestant in the 2009 X Factor, winners of Britain's Got Talent Diversity and funky ska girl group The Scarletz. Besides the main acts, the  ‘mini festival’ also entails DJs, Celebrity Compere, 12 different food and drink concessions, merchandising outlets and memorabilia.

Alexandra Burke won X Factor in 2008 and since then has blossomed, platinum selling single releases like Hallelujah, Bad Boys, Broken Heels and All Night Long have all gone to number 1 in the UK singles charts … BRIT and MOBO awards have followed. Hallelujah sold 105,000 singles in the first day and later over 1m records, the first time for a UK female solo artist! Still only 22 years old and with a mischievous glint in her eye, Alexandra Burke is one of the hottest emergent pop talents of this decade. 

Diversity won the 3rd series of ITV’s Britain's Got Talent, beating Susan Boyle in front of 15 million TV viewers. They have become an Internet phenomenon, every routine attracts 10s of millions of hits on Youtube. Subsequently they performed at the Royal Variety Show in December 2009, also winning Pride of Britain and South Bank Show Awards. Their performances have attracted worldwide attention, recently performing on the Larry King Show in the US. Group Leader Ashley Banjo was a judge on the recent Sky 1 show Got to Dance. The band represent a very positive youth image and are aligned to 4 prominent charities, Change4Life, The Princes Trust, DanceAid and Hope for Children. They continually perform across Europe, having just finished a 27 large venue tour, and will be involved in several festivals this summer but so far never in Marbella. 

Jamie Archer also nicknamed "Jamie Afro" due to his hairstyle was born in 1975   London, England. He was the oldest of the 12 finalists in the 2009 series of X Factor. He has had considerable experience on the London gig circuit, and plays a number of instruments. He sang "Sex on Fire" by the Kings of Leon in his first audition, not only attaining a standing ovation but prompting the rare sight of Simon Cowell actually singing along. Voted out in week 6 Jamie evoked strong views from Louis Walsh who preferred the quirky talents of Jedward ahead of the strong Rock/Pop belty power of Jamie’s vocal performances, Simon Cowell remains a friend/mentor in Jamie’s career. Jamie no longer works the small clubs but has been working extensively on the festival circuit, recently performing to 50,000 fans at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. 

Most recently he has been forming a band whil st recording some exciting new material with a host of stars not least of which a collaboration with Kylie Minogue, he looks forward to performing in Marbella for the first time as he has friends on the Costa and his up tempo style is sure to bring the house down. 

The Scarletz are a 4 piece female vocal harmony group from the UK, featuring Bryony Jobes, Claire Martyne, Katiya Borlante and Tahnee Lee, they do not rely on technology to make them sound good. These women are sexy, sassy, quirky and most of all… talented! They write and compose all their own music and infuse classical, opera, theatre, SKA, R&B, Jazz/Rock creating an unique/influential sound.
