World´s First Gastronomic University to be located in Spain
21-01-2010 Comments (1)The Basque region has the highest proportion of Michelin star restaurants in the world and seems an appropriate location for the world´s first Gastronomic University.
Construction has begun in San Sebastian in the Basque Region of Spain for the first Gastronomic University.
Students will be offered a four year undergraduate course in Spanish and English and the opportunity to learn about “molecular gastronomy” as well as being taught by some of the world´s most renowned names in the world of gastronomy; Famous Spanish restaurateur and El Bulli owner, Ferran Adrià, will pass on his expertise, while it is rumoured that Heston Blumenthal celebrated owner of the Fat Duck Restaurant in the UK will also be invited as a guest teacher. A one year course will also be offered for those wishing to progress their cooking skills.
