Two Britons die in helicopter crash on Mallorca

Reports say the craft exploded in the air.
Two Britons have died in a helicopter crash on Mallorca. The craft came down ub Coll de Sa Gramola between Andratx and Estellencs after suffering some form of problem in the air at 1110 on Saturday morning.
The helicopter was British registered and had taken off at 1040 from the Son Bonet airport in Palma. Witnesses who were collecting mushrooms in the area report that the craft exploded in the air and then fell to earth, and the two occupants died instantly. Health professionals could only confirm the deaths on their arrival at the scene.
A small fire was caused by the crash and the fire service had to put out the fire which had spread into the surrounding area.
First reports indicate the fatalities are the owner of the helicopter who had taken out his girlfriend’s father for a flight. Other reports say it could have been a training flight.
