Twin girls who were joined at the brain are discharged from the hospital.
23-12-2009 Comments (2)The two Bangladeshi girls, Trishna and Krishna, were given only a 25% chance of surviving the grueling 32 hour operation to separate them.
The Bangladeshi girls who were found by aid workers in Dhaka and were taken to Australia have surprised medics with their excellent recovery and have left the hospital in Melbourne. It is believed that the girls have not suffered any serious neurological damage.
Doctors were amazed by their superb resilience and permitted them to leave the hospital to enjoy their third birthday as separate little girls.
