Sydney, Australia Bring in the New Year
31-12-2010Sydney New Year's Eve is internationally renowned as a spectacular event. It has some of the most technically impressive fireworks set on one of the world's most beautiful stages - Sydney Harbour and the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
More than 1.5 million people are expected to crowd around the Sydney Harbour foreshore tonight to bring in the new year.
Both sides of the harbour are filling up with picnic blankets, blow-up beds and chairs as people secure the best spots to watch the fireworks.
The theme of this year's fireworks display is 'Make Your Mark', with lightning bolts, bow ties and double hearts among the firework effects.
