Staff stop thieves escaping after robbery at Marbella jewellery store

The two employees and a passerby held on to the robbers until police arrived on the scene.
Two staff at a Marbella jewellery store managed to stop two thieves from escaping after the store was held up on Tuesday, stopping them from leaving with the help of a passerby until police arrived on the scene.
The broad daylight robbery was at a store in Puerto Banús, which was held up by two men from Estonia armed with a knife and a stun gun. Diario Sur reports that one of them later turned out to be just 17.
The two staff were physically attacked by the older man, and both thieves then fled with their haul of watches and other items they had snatched after smashing their way into the display cases. The victims were joined by a Senegalese man as they chased the thieves down the street, and all three managed to hold onto them until police arrived to make the arrest.
