Saeko Hamada: Behind the "Wish List" Gala

This is how it started. About 7 weeks ago two very passionate ladies came to my TV program “Marbella Te Quiero” to talk about their charity. I was simply moved by their sincerity and very straightforward approach. I said YES to collaborate and YES to be a godmother to this event.
I immediately knew they are doing this charity with their heart and very hands on to the project. With so many people’s help and donations, the charity gala “ Wish List” was a great success.
I don’t know how to thank all the participants, sponsors and press, especially Johnny Gates from I-Marbella. Thank you for all of your attention and for volunteering. And I would also like to thank Kristina Skezely, the president of Rotary club Marbella, and Marbella City Hall for their support.
The organization confirmed that 11960 euros were raised after taking out all of the costs. Every euro will directly go for the renovation of children’s dormitory. It is a very nice feeling to be a part of a very transparent charity, where I can see where all this hard work goes to with my own eyes.
After all the hard work I was at my favorite restaurant La Meridiana, wearing a dress from Missoni and Camille Abane made me look much better than I really am and I loved my hair. Keihl’s gave goody bags to all of the guests. All of the magic, performance, music, and dancing - it was really enjoyable. Again all of my gratitude to everybody, who cooperated to the charity “Wish List” for children’s home in Malaga “ La Ciudad De Los Niños”
..and my 2 ladies, Esther and Muriel. Thank you for giving me a opportunity to be a part of this, it is real honour to be with you both!

Thank you, Saeko, for all your help and support! It was an honour to have you as the Godmother for this gala, as you are not only beautiful and glamourous, but helpful, kind and generous. You shared your tremendous experience in organizing charity events with us and you are part of this success to help Ciudad de los Niños!!! As we know that you are working so long with Casa Abril, San Roque this means a lot to us! Next time count on us to help Casa Abril, San Roque!!!
Thank you to all the people of Marbella for their generous support of the project to renovate the bedrooms of the little ones, aged 2 to 12 at the Children´s Home of Malaga!

It was a pleasure having you on board. You brought us the glamour and thanks to your endorsement we can now hope to have a second gala again next year. It will be our pleasure to do a Gala in 2011 for the benefit of both Ciudad de los Ninos, Malaga and Casa Abril, San Roque, a home you have supported for years..how very generous of you to give of yourself to help somebody else!!.
We believe in the generosity of the people of Marbella and with you as a Patron, we can't go wrong!!.
