Operation Tanga winner Annalisa's diary vol.3
24-05-2010 Comments (1)
Our New Year Weight Loss Contest to get into great shape for 2010 with i-Marbella winner Annalisa Turner-Sterling (30) will be turned into great shape and we will help her to lose those extra holiday kilos. We provided her with a top personal trainer Samy Mohamed and a 3 months free gym membership at the well-known Plaza Gym in Centro Plaza in Nueva Andalucia. We bring you the second part of her very personal diary and brand new pictures of her!
End of my 2nd month
14.04.10
My 2nd month of training is now over, only 1 month to go. I found last month quite hard. I had a week of illness too which set me back a little bit. Also, I’m finding that trying to juggle a job, boyfriend, gym life and social life is very difficult to do whilst going to the gym 5 times per week!!
I think the ideal answer is to have a boyfriend who also loves the gym, socialise with all of your friends who also go to the same gym, and of course you could then also work at the gym!!!
So, the past couple of weeks I have been going less. I was extremely proud of myself when I went during the holidays, especially over Easter!! Plaza Gym is open at the weekends and holidays, so it’s a great time to go for longer than usual (that’s if you don’t have a hangover from celebrating the Holiday ;-) )
I haven p;rsquo;t taken any new measurements or photographs yet. However I’m feeling better, and I’m getting compliments from people telling me that I’m looking good. I also feel better in my clothes. I knew it would be challenging to try and change my body, and I’m realising it is a long term thing. 3 months isn’t going to be long enough and I am looking forward to keeping up with exercising throughout the year.
Exercise Plan:
We’re sticking to the same plan as before, but I’ve reduced my cardio and have increased my repetitions when training with weights.
Also, to stay interested and to keep motivated I’ve introduced more classes. For example, the abs classes are amazing because the instructor really works you out – I challenge ANYBODY to keep up with her, it’s a real killer! But so worth it. Next month I’m also going to add Pilates classes into my routine.
Expert Exercise Tip:
Keep varying your workout. And if you are ill (ie with something like a cold, flu or virus) then give your body a break and don’t exercise, you’ll recover a lot quicker.
Diet Tip:
Don’t change what I was doing last month. I had asked if I should take any dieting supplements, energy supplements etc, but he said it wasn’t necessary right now and that I could introduce them at a later stage.
