Romanian gang robbing Madrid and Toledo supermarkets

The gang would work for ten days and then leave the country.
Four Romanians who were making ‘express trips’ to Spain to carry out robberies in supermarkets in Madrid and Toledo have been arrested. The National Police say they stayed in Spain for ten days and then returned to their country or to Italy so as not to be located, and none of those arrested have any property, vehicle or family links in Spain.
The police say those arrested were expects in disabling alarms and had become expert in robbing a particular supermarket chain. After cutting the phone and blocking security cameras, they would open the tills and safes which could contain cash. They have been linked to eight thefts so far. They always sent the money taken immediately to Romania via money transfer companies.
The break for the police came when in October, in collaboration with the Romanian Embassy in Madrid confirmed the presence of the gang.
