Malaga's provincial court has released the dates for the trial of singer Isabel Pantoja on money laundering charges. 

At two sessions a week to avoid clashing with one of the others who will be in the dock with her – former Marbella mayor Julian, who is one of the defendants in the Malaya case – it will stretch over a period of months, starting on June 28th and ending in April 2013. The third person on trial is Muñoz's ex-wife, Maite Zaldivar. The trio made the headlines in Málaga when Pantoja was invited by Muñoz to help promote Marbella as a tourist destination.

The ensuing love affair between the two was followed in great detail in the local and national press and television – he was still married to his wife and she was a famous singer with a tragic past, having been married briefly to bullfighter Francisco Rivera “El Paquirri”. He bled to death after being gored by a bull in Pozoblanco, Cordoba province, on September 26th, 1984.

The fire went out of the affair after Pantoja was charged along with the ex-mayor's wife with laundering funds for him. She faces a possible jail sentence of three and a half years.
