This week's Marbella Fashion Police takes a peek inside of Julia Rep's closet! Julia owns a fashion boutique called Fashionvilla and she originally comes from Germany! Read about her style choices below...

1.  How do you define your style?

My own style is sporty elegant and rather classy than always running behind each trend. However, within the trends I pick out new color schemes and fresh cuts which go hand in hand with my personal style.

2. What is your ideal look for daytime? And night time?

My ideal look, living on the Coast, varies a lot from that one living in a big city. In Marbella I love to wear trousers of high-tech materials (they keep their perfect fit and are easy to wash, wear and travel with) and blazer of any kind of shape or material! My personal highlights – thank God back in fashion again -  are dresses. They are very feminine and comfortable and perfect to be dressed up or down. The nights set free my creativity – whatever I might feel like… That varies from floaty chiffon trousers up to haute couture evening gowns.

3. How much time do you spend on creating your looks?

I never spend as much time on myself than on others. To create new looks for my clients or to help them to find their own style is where I can spend my whole day on and get full joy out of it. Looks create desire.

4. Where do you get ideas for your looks? From magazines, movies, videos etc?

Well, we all get ideas from the media – without any doubt. Another big influence are the Prêt-à-porter or Haute Couture fashion shows – however, always important is that outfits are wearable. All new trends are not for everybody. Therefore, it’s necessary to find those new items which suit your personality, style and figure.

5. What is your favourite piece of clothing in your closet?

Blazers, blazers and blazers for the day and a pair of chiffon trousers for the evening which is so wonderful to combine. Love it!

6. Your favourite shops/brands are..

Certainly is Fashionvilla my absolute favorite. Wearable and affordable fashion for those women who like to be different… Airfield is one of the brands we represent and it has amazing materials, great details (like fancy buttons or fur) and fashionable cuts – but wearable. You see that the word “wearable” is a key word in my fashion vocabulary and should hit number 1 on each woman’s list.

7. What is your favourite color?

I am a black and white addict – however since I live in Marbella, I love the range of colors the nature has to offer…. Must-Haves this summer are: hot corral, warm yellow or overwhelming turquoise – a feast for the eyes…

8. What are your favourite accessories?

The right accessories depend on each person. But I like bracelets and big earrings – they can even turn a basic outfit into a trendy one or an office outfit into an evening one!

9. What advice would you give to have a great style?

Again – what I regard as a great style living on the Coast in comparison to one in a big city differs tremendously…. And nothing can be as much discussed as art, fashion and style. Even so called fashion icons can’t please the audience all the time. You dare something – you risk something. Always important are – whatever the style might be -  a good basic make-up, pedicured feet and manicured hands (I love nail polish) If this is not provided the greatest clothes can look rubbish.

10. Who is your favourite style icon?

My style icons go far back in time – back to those women when women were still dressed as women, behaved like women and were simply elegant and breath-taking. For me, amazing and fashionable women were: Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo, Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly and Jacqueline Kennedy – women who were absolute trend setters and loyal to their styles.
