C.R. COSTA DEL SOL vs MARBELLA R.C. 18 - 47

This was the second away win for Marbella Rugby Club, although it took place at their home ground. The derby between Rugby Club Costa del Sol and Marbella  Rugby Club, was held in the Bahia Park ground, due to the Benalmadena side's lack of a home pitch!

Rugby Club Costa del Sol opened the scoring with a penalty, but Marbella's Edalvas - who was voted man of the match - soon scored the first try, which was converted, and he was soon followed on the score sheet by Donato, Hugo and Santi. The first half saw the score at 3 - 21

The second half was more of the same, Marbella raging into attack and the costasoleños defending at all costs and looking to exploit any opportunity to counter attcak. However Marbella soon scored four tries, with two from Edalvas and one each from Paul and Donato

The final score was  18  - 47 an important victory for Marbella as they head into the last two games of the season.  They travel to  Seville to face league leaders San Jerónimo, before a final home derby against Malaga.

Due to the national teams international commitments, there will be a break until March 13, giving the coaching staff time to prepare Marbella for the final push for honours.
