Marbella's "Lookie Lookie" men on the run from the towns beaches21-06-2010
Has Time run out on the Coasts most familiar figures
The "Lookie Lookie" men, mainly from the Senegal are notorious for selling fake goods on the coast's beaches and boardwalks. From Gucci bags to fake Rolex watches to the latest cinema blockbuster these "street Vendors" have for many years been the scourge of the coast. Arriving at your beach bar table at the rate of one every 5 minutes I for one will be glad to see the back of them.... next hopefuly the appalling musicians will be next on the townhall hit list

I don't know what is more assinine you calling me a twatt & troot or insinuating that the "Lookie Lookie" men are to blame for the shps that have gone out of business in Marbella.
Billy if you haven't noticed we're in the middle of a global economic downturn. Spain & Greece are amongst the hardest hit in the EU, I suppose the "Lookie Lookie" men are responsible for that as well.
By no means would anybody be naive enough to believe that the goods these Senegalese merchants sell are authentic so they're not defrauding people.
I suppose you feel that the "Lookie Lookie" men are to blame for all the Villas & flats inthe region that have been repossed by the banks.
I'm glad you bring this up Johnny and Cristobal you are an absolute twat (pardon my french readers), what is honest about selling counterfeit goods?
Try asking the legitimate shops who pay rent and taxes only to have these people parading infront of them. If anyone could just rock up to the beach the place would be full of people selling, is that what you want on a relaxing holiday?
The only reason they aren't rounded up is the whole race card and they can't be deported, absolutely bloody ridiculas!
Also unfortunately it is still not legal to arrest people in this country who purchase from the "lookie lookie" men. So please Cristobal go ahead and get the law changed, go on off you trot.
It's no wonder you see shops closing by the day making Marbella look untidy.
It's time to clean everywhere up once and for all and bring the class back.
If you want to do something constructive C start a charity and help them out or offer them some legit work.
I'd gladly employ them to sell my goods all day, just one problem i'd probably get arrested.
Cristobal i hope you read this and realise a few things.
These Senegalese "Lookie Lookie" men are immigrants trying to earn an honest living unlike your good friend convicted felon Dimitri Jansenss which you choose to highlight on your site.
If the tourist on the beaches of Marbella didn't buy counterfeit luxury goods the "Lookie Lookie" men would have no reason to frequent Marbella.
Why not arrest those who purchase counterfeit goods? Most likely because they're white. I'm sure all of the tourist have seen the Louis Vuitton boutique in Puerto Banus but they choose to use their hard earned Euros to buy counterfeit goods from the "Lookie Lookie" men instead.
