Marbella Classic Poker series gets underway!
11-03-2011The first event of 2011 attracted over 100 players
The Marbella Classic Poker 2011 series got underway with an impressive 103 players taking their seats to fight for the €48,490 prize pool. One of the most popular events in southern Spain the event attracted players from all along the coast as well as poping over from Gibraltar.
The stunning Margaret Shilliam finished in the money in Marbella
By Day 2 the field was down to 23 runners and in the end it was it was Joaquin Augusto Serrano AKA "Yiyo" or "The Nerja Ninja" who took down the tournament and a first prize of €17,680.
Other notable cashes were for regular players Jaime Blanco, Raul Gonzalez, Poker Pro Ernesto Jimenez, the beautiful Margareta Shilliam and local painter and decorator Ian Holmes, was spotted still celebrating a few days later...
