Man strips naked on Iberia flight and attacks crew

A flight bound for Munich from Madrid's Barajas airport on Thursday night had to turn round and go back to base after a mentally-ill man stripped off his clothes and attacked the crew.
Iberia flight 3512 left Barajas at 21.15hrs, but had to land in Madrid again at 22.30hrs to evacuate the troublesome passenger. The accused, a 27-year-old German, reportedly stripped naked in the aisle and when reproached by the air hostesses, began to attack them physically.
He then locked himself in the toilet, witnesses explain. They believe he had a psychological illness and had suffered some kind of attack. Once the flight was back on the ground, Iberia staff had to negotiate with Munich airport, which was shut, to arrange for them to open extra hours to allow the flight to land.
Finally, the plane took off again at 23.50hrs.
