Malaga is fashion capital of Andalucia

Malaga province is the leading exporter of fashion and jewellery in the sunny Andalucia.
During last year, the fashion and jewellery section is almost half, 43.2 %, of the total exports from the region. According to the Extenda Andalucian Foreign Promotion Agency, the most exported products are textile garments, 32.1%, jewellery/watches, 23%, materials and fabrics, 13.9 % and leather goods 10.1%.
The Agency also revealed that exports from Andalucia between January and October in 2011 were worth €460 million, which is actually 16.5% more than in 2010. The main exporting destinations are Portugal, 18.3%, Italy, France, Switzerland and the United Kingdom respectively. When in 2007, there number of registered fashion companies with Extenda was 330, then by 2010, the number has increased to 408.
