Marbella Rugby Club marked their first victory of  2011 with a solid team performance at home against Club Amigos de Rugby (CAR) from Sevilla.
 
From the kickoff the Marbella saught to dominate their opponents running strongly at them, and were more able to take their scoring opportunites. At half time at the Bahia de Marbella ground, Marbella went into the changeover leading by an impressive 25 - 6 lead, thanks to tries by  Agustus, Carl and Salem.

Marbella relaxed in the second half and CAR scored an early try to make the score 25 - 13. The try had the effect of concentrating the minds of the home team, who scored two more tries through Hugo and Salem to make the score 35 - 13. With a more open game and both  defenses tiring something more depleted physically, CAR's forwards powered over the line to make it 35 - 20. But the final word, sixth try of the match and third individual try of the match went to  the young Marbella player Salem, who also picked up Man of the Match.
 
            The 40 - 20 final score reflected the strength that  Marbella Rugby Club has when playing at home, and leaves the side third in the league.
