Cheryl Cole will not be the judge in the American version of the TV talent show 'The X Factor', because of the fact she's not a celebrity there and the viewers wouldn't understand her accent!
Cheryl Cole (27), who comes from Newcastle travelled all the way to Hollywood to negotiate her role on the show. But now appears that she may not take part in it, because she is not famous enough is the States. One source revealed in the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: "People just don't know who she is over there and people struggle to understand what she is saying."
Nevertheless, Simon Cowell offered the beauty an alternative job on the show - being a mentor. Simon is very interested in upgrading her career in the States. The source added: "Simon is consoling her with the offer of helping him win the first series, which would give her profile a massive boost."
The source also revealed that Cheryl has been feeling homesick and phones with her mum constantly. "Cheryl was missing Joan just a few hours after she and her brother Gary Tweedy landed. They even had a mini-spat when he told her she needs to start making decisions on her own. She reckons she is going to need constant visits from her mum at least every fortnight and she will fly home every other week - even if just for a couple of days."
