No bathing in Benalmádena before 11am

New controls on the placing of towels are also being introduced.

Benalmádena Town Hall has announced it is to ban towels or parasols being put on the beach between the sun-loungers and the sea. The Town Hall has also banned bathing before 11am and said that those who run the sun-loungers will now have to ensure that no peddling takes place in the area. The 11am start is so the beaches can be cleaned beforehand.

The new regulations are expected to be introduced with a municipal by law containing 46 articles next month.

The Socialist controlled Town Hall says the objective is to fine unsociable behaviour on the beach, describing it as an ‘instrument of awareness and co-existence in a public space, to make the beach a place for all the family’.

But the PP opposition in the town said it was ‘restrictive and unjust’ for the business on the beach, and claimed that it excessively limits the use and enjoyment of the coast, as well as subjecting businesses on the beach to an ‘unusual and unjust’ responsibility.

Pues, No!!!!! Voy a la playa a bañarme con mis niños pequeños de 9 a 11. Que se limpie antes para que la gente sana aproveche aguas cristalinas y no se sofoque con rayos nocivos!!!!! Lets protest, the beach is of God and part of the nature, should be cleaned before sane people and their family like me arrive and bath from 9 am to 11 am to avoid bad sun and make the most of pure and uncreamed waters...
NO NO NO.
