A Suite Night

Suite hosts a degustation of its new menu...

Pumpkin and Miso Soup

Superb Sushi

Zoe Marmentini, John Thompson, Linda Sandberg and Nicola Vieira Rodrigues
Sultry lighting, champagne cocktails de “bienvenida” and plentiful press represented by Marbellas.com, Marbella Te Quiero, Essential, Comunicaciones Rusas and Society Living amongst others, were recently invited with i-Marbella to enjoy the presentation of the latest culinary creations by Executive Chef Elquin.

Cool grooves played in the background by Edu (Ms. Marmentini had a night off from the decks and we had the pleasure of her company for dinner) whilst the restaurant closed purely for our tasting pleasure. JT (the F & B Director) looked sharp as ever and was as always, the perfect host. After some light libations and mingling with our fellow media makers we were seated to enjoy a degustation of the new Fusion menu - creative cuisine blending ethnic mixes from Morocco to Asia.

An "Essential" Pair
As is the mark of the Suite team no detail was overlooked and each place setting had a gift trio of the latest grooves from Suite Nightclub with an insert of the new menu.

The new menu features delicious dishes such as the Lebanese Mezze Plate, Lobster accompanied by Guacamole, Mango and Apple, Maigret of Crispy Duck with Miso and Orange served over crispy asparagus, Black Cod with Wafu (a unique tasting Japanese Vinaigrette) and Honey Sauce as well as staying true to Suite´s roots with some favourite Moroccan dishes; Lamb and Plum Tagine with cinnamon and almonds – delicious!

Marbella's Top Smudgers in a Rare Lineup

Gary and Louise The one and only Jimmy
A delectable oaky Nekeas Chardonnay was served with dinner (plus copious amounts of Heineken for Mr. Gates!) and we began with an amuse bouche of Wonton served with spicy tuna tartar, the Pumpkin and Miso soup was hand poured at the table and the perfectly pink Lamb chops were served with a sweet Miso sauce and purée of potatoes.

The evening ended with the infamous Jimmy´s Moroccan tea (nobody prepares it like he does!) and an unusual sweet finale of green tea ice cream beautifully presented in a pastry basket.
