LOEWE announces the opening of its new store in the commercial complex of Puerto Banús, in Marbella, the second enclave of the signature on the Costa del Sol.
The exclusive LOEWE brand announces that it will open a new store in Puerto Banús, Marbella, this Saturday, July 22, 2017.
The store will be located at LOEWE Puerto Banús, Calle Ribera Casa F #16.
The bright two-story space offers a wide variety of handbags, purses, wallets and other accessories of the brand (in leather and exotic skins) as well as a selection of ready-to-wear for men and women.
Following the CASA LOEWE model conceived by the artistic director Jonathan Anderson, this new and cozy space, constructed with local materials, recreates a modern environment in which the collections of the firm are exposed.
The innovative design of the store presents an original sample of natural textures, as seen in the inimitable linen rug commissioned by LOEWE to the British weaver Jason Collingwood, which stands out on the extensive extensions of floor lined with 'Campaspero' limestone. The luminous marquee in emerald green agate stone, areas covered with silver travertine marble and curved iron racks are other decorative details characteristic of LOEWE stores.
Like the rest of the brand's stores, LOEWE Puerto Banús shows contemporary works of art chosen by Jonathan Anderson for this space.
In this case, it is a play of evocative sculptures by Potter Mo Jupp and an extensive multimedia painting by the Irish artist Pádraig Timoney. These exclusive works of art complement the interior, replete with handmade notes and furniture such as an original chair in oak by master craftsman Baillie Scott and a lamp by the renowned Japanese-American sculptor Isamu Noguchi.
Founded in 1846 in Madrid, LOEWE began as a cooperative of leather artisans and is part of LVMH. In 2014, newly-appointed creative director Jonathan Anderson launched a reconfiguration of the brand, reinterpreting its core values and visual identity for today. His acclaimed ready-to-wear and accessories collections for the house are presented during Men’s and Women’s Fashion Week in Paris.
By connecting past and present with cultural awareness and a timely edit of products, Anderson is creating a template for the future.
