Property Record Price Decrease by 11% in Marbella & Costa del Sol!

Property prices fall 11.2% in 2011 compared to the previous year. The biggest drop since it began to decrease in 2007, according to data published today by the National Statistics Institute (INE: "Indice Nacional de Estadísticas"). The property price index (IPV: "Indice de Precios de Vivienda") shows how the decrease of private properties began in 2008, which decreased 5.4% in price, and continued falling in 2009 an additional 4.3%. 2010 gave us a 1.9% drop rate.
Property prices have also dropped in 2011 in other regions. Special attention to Madrid (15.7%), Cataluña (14.3%), La Rioja (14.2%), Aragón (12.5% ) and the Basque Country (12.2%). Below the National average, Cantabria (11.6%), Navarre (10.9%), Asturias (10.5%), Castilla y León (10.5%), Baleares (9.8%), Valencia (9.8%), Castilla-La Mancha (8.8%), Andalusia (8.4%), Extremadura (8%), Galicia (7.9%), Canary (7.7%) and Murcia (7.1%).
