Want to see inside Suite Tallinn, Estonia?30-03-2012 Comments (1)
Only couple of weeks ago the legendary night club from Marbella called Suite opened its doors in the most northern Baltic State - Estonia. Suite Lounge is located in the beautiful boutique Hotel Schlössle in Tallinn’s Old Town. Nestled in the heart of Tallinn’s Old Town, the Schlössle is a delightful boutique hotel that will take you back to Estonia’s medieval past.
Suite is the perfect place for after dinner cocktails or a pre clubbing get together. Offering an excellent cocktail, wine & champagne menu and a variety of superb snacks to enjoy throughout the evening, along with DJ’s & performances from Marbella, London & Riga. Zoe Marmentini, the interior designer of Suite Tallinn, talked to i-Marbella about the process of decorating the amazing new lounge!
1. What inspired you in Suite Tallinn?
Well the venue in itself, for starters, is very inspiring! To have a 13th Century cellar as a starting point is quite the thing, and having the opportunity to turn it into something not only warm & easygoing, but also modern & fun…. well that's just great!
2. How would you describe the interior there?
The interior is a mix&match of various contrasting concepts, all brought together by the venue itself and, very importantly, the lighting. Chesterfields live in unison with black marble floors, vintage trunks & tables, and LED lights. In the end, it has to be a bit like one's living room because that's how comfortable it should feel… so it has a lot of that, too!
3. Where do you get your ideas?
The ideas! Well, in interior design there is a constant flow of ideas. Many persons have added their individual viewpoints and because we wanted to create a feeling of comfort, and as the coordinator of the project I have listened to every one and tried to keep as many things in mind as possible. Daniel Shamoon has been the main instigator however. He travels a lot and always brings back ideas, which I love!! It's great that he likes modern thoughts, looks, ambiences… and is up for creating something out of the ordinary every single time.
4. How long did you decorate the place? Where did you get all the things you needed?
The concept of the place has been talked about over a few years now, and has gone through many changes of heart. With the opening of Suite at the Grand Palace (Riga) last year, I think the ideas started to fall into place as we had a project close by that reached completion, and this was very motivating. As for proper preparation - I guess we started shortly before christmas… the actual setup once everything was ready to move in, took 4 days! It was crazy but fun.
5. What are you working on now?
Well now... comes our next amazing project! - actually it's just around the corner: on the 5th of April we are due to open our new Japanese Restaurant in Marbella, called Namazake. It will be overlooking the impressive Plaza Romana of Hotel Puente Romano, and is due to offer great Sushi and a very large Sake menu - if you're brave enough to try them all (not necessarily on the same night of course)! The ambience continues into the Plaza of Suite du Ciel, and blends in with the outdoor scene of Suite Restaurant & Lounge - which currently offers the best night out in Marbella… we hope to see you all there for the opening ;)
