Professional personal trainer from LA, Priit Palujoe, is training now in Marbella
19-07-2010 Comments (2)Recognised private trainer Priit Palujoe moved to Marbella from Los Angeles about three years ago. From America, Priit has highly valued PROPTA(www.propta.com) professional private trainers and nutrition consultants diploma in his pocket and plenty of practice working with professional athletes and average weight losers.
He moved to Spain with a mission to represent PROPTA and educate private trainers.” Spain is a completely different market. In America most gyms won’t let you work there and most people don’t trust you to train them without proper license and background check. Here nobody cares about education or diplomas. Somebody looks big or works at a gyms front desk is enough proof to gain trust,” explains Priit the reasons why educating trainers didn’t work out and he enjoys simple trainers job here.
Priit started his trainer career year in 2003 in California at Venice Gold’s Gym, which is the the Mecca of bodybuilding and one of the most famous gym’s in the world. Many of today’s best athletes train there and also bodybuilding legends, like Arnold Schwartzenegger, went to this gym. In Marbella, Priit has a good reputation as a trainer, who has his own working principles and he is interested of continuous results.”During my work time I'm not in the gym to socialize. I want my client to see results and be happy about it, that’s why I'm pretty strict,” characterises Priit himself, who in America worked and learned with best trainers and bodybuilders.
Experienced trainer say that people handle changes differently, so it is hard to give advice that works for everybody how to get the best results.”When you start with drastic changes in lifestyle and diet, most people tend to give up easily. “So when I start working with a new client, first, I find out about his exercising history, how and what he’s done so far. Also we go thru eating habits, because I don’t expect my clients to eat the way I do. Everyone has their individual food and taste preference so I try to make the diet program the way that my client doesn’t have to give up everything he likes at once. I try to make it a slow transaction to the perfect diet.“ Priit says that noticeable changes aren't visible before a couple of months. ”First we must take it slow and build the foundation and then start forming the new body. But something already changes in the person the moment he comes to talk to me.”
The best and only way to get results is to combine strength training for entire body with regular cardio and healthy diet. ”Remember that exercising boosts the metabolism, so it is fastest after the workout. Then is the best time to eat to get most out of a meal and let it go through your body. Morning workouts are very good to lose fat, but it’s important to eat some carbohydrates before it. ”You should have at least an apple or a glass of juice to get some carbs, because they help to burn fat. Without carbs body uses protein from muscles and joint tissues to get energy and that leads to muscle loss, but fat stays untouched. Same story is with water - the more you drink the more it comes out and cleanses body. Body is one clever system. It does everything to survive and protect itself, so it holds as much water in as needed and even more just for emergency. To lose water we must cheat our body. So we drink lot of water and after few weeks the body “thinks” that there is so much clean fresh water coming so why hold it inside. So it lets the water just go through without holding it in. That is how easy that is and that’s why it is smart to drink lots of water. Priit says that he drinks 1.5 litres during a workout and at least 4 litres a day.
