What are you supposed to wear to a wedding??? The etiquette for proper wedding guest can vary greatly, depending on the style of the wedding. You'll have to become a little bit of a detective, but don't be scared. There are clues for you everywhere.

Do you have a wedding and you want to go there properly dressed? Is it a wedding in the south, with warm weather and sea air?

 

We suggest a short dress, sleeveless, in toasted and black. 

Some of us question whether it is appropriate to wear a cocktail dress. Firstly, it is not necessary to wear a long dress to an evening wedding, and also it is not appropriate to wear a jacket with a skirt. That could be worn at morning weddings. If the wedding is being held in the evening, you can wear a simple headdress with your cocktail dress, not a very sophisticated one. (Headdress is the name given to any element of clothing, which is worn on one's head)

Colors

If the dress is already very unique and fancy, you don't need to put anything on top or to mix it with more colors. However, to match the dress with the season, we would recommend wearing light tones, such as beige. For example we suggest wearing trendy shoes in beige or brown. The jacket has to be simple, over the waist, with short sleeves or French (in silk, for example). This would also have to be in beige color. The handbag and the headdress may be black or also black with tan pheasant feather.

Gold earrings and bracelets would be a perfect combination.


Never to wear:

-Granny shoes! If you are wearing an original dress, the shoes have to be equally eye-catching.

  
-Don't wear a jacket or a Pamela hat, it is too much like going to a morning wedding with a long strapless gown etc... Horror!

There are plenty of wonderful, beautiful and original dresses. A knee length dress doesn't help everyone, it exposes all our weaknesses, so if you insist on wearing this kind of dress, make sure you wear a 10cm high heel with it.
