Dr.Kai Kaye: "Ocean Clinic's 5th Anniversary Party is a Big Charity Project"10-08-2013
Marbella is a prime destination for those who wish to improve, retouch or repair their image, because the capital of Costa del Sol offers high standard sanitary services by recovery. Dr. Kai Kaye from Ocean Clinic is one of the references in aesthetic and plastic medicine on Costa del Sol. And now they are reaching their 5th Anniversary that will take place on the 5th of September in Hotel Vincci Beach Club Estrella del Mar and its also a charity event!
Graduated at the University of Munich, he subsequently obtained a Cum Laude mention in the field of reconstructive plastic surgery. The same year, he joined the prestigious department of plastic surgery in Berlin in order to specialize and in 2004 he took the opportunity of forming part of the Department for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of (RWTH) continuing his specialization within surgery of burns and that of the hand.
Having stayed five years in Marbella, Dr.Kai Kaye has converted Ocean Clinic into a reference for medical tourism. This Temple of health and image will soon to end a process of amplification and modernization of the installations with a project of offering better service and even more specialized treatments to the clients of the clinic.
The aim of Dr. Kaye is to “help people to feel better with themselves in every aspect. Today’s Society is image-based, something very important to all of us. This can be regarded positive or negative, but it is a fact. Therefore I’m trying to repair the injustice of Nature”.
1. How are you celebrating the 5th Anniversary of Ocean Clinic?
We are celebrating with around 150 friends, colleagues and collaborators in the Beach Club of Vincci Estrella del Mar in September, we will have a program with life music from well known artists, raffles and charity auctions and great food and fun. The event will be at the same time a fundraiser for our Charity Surgery Trip to Peru in October this Year 2013.
2. Why did you choose to help the Kausay Wasi Clinic in Peru specifically?
It is a place where you really find people who have nothing just would not get operated if not by a foreign charity campaign team. We chose Peru because of the ease of communication with my spanish team and the fact that the Kausay Wasi Clinic has the necessary minimum infrastructure in 2 operating rooms to do reconstructive plastic surgery - we can't operate ou in the open ;-)
3. What other charity projects have you done or are you planning to do?
I am planning to do one campaign with my team a year, depending on our experience in Peru we will either repeat it or the next trip will be Madagascar, where I already have an invitation to join an international relief team.
4. What has been the secret to Ocean Clinic's success even during this economical crisis?
There is no secret; it is all about being honest with your patients, loving what you do, performing on a high and stable level, having a great team and doing excellent surgery - the patients feel that, they are satisfied and happy, they will recommend you and you will grow. At least 80 % of our new patients are recommendation only these days.
5. What are your future ambitions? Will you plan to expand?
By knowing me over 5 years now, what do you think ;-) - but that's still a secret.....
